Blood Drive to be Held

DECATUR, IL – The Macon County Health Department (MCHD) is partnering with ImpactLife to host a community blood drive on Wednesday, October 14, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Macon County Health Department, 1221 E. Condit St., Decatur.

Every blood donation has the potential to make a meaningful difference for patients in need. Donated blood is used to support individuals experiencing medical emergencies, undergoing cancer treatment, managing chronic illnesses, and receiving other lifesaving care.

ImpactLife is the exclusive provider of blood products and components to local hospitals in Macon County and surrounding communities, making local blood donations especially important.

Those who successfully donate will receive their choice of a $20 gift card for a whole blood donation or a $25 gift card for a double red donation, ImpactLife Rewards Store points, or the option to donate their reward to charity.

Community members are encouraged to schedule an appointment in advance by visiting ImpactLife’s online scheduling page (https://login.bloodcenter.org/donor/schedules/drive_schedule/152426)

One donation can help save lives and strengthen our community. MCHD encourages eligible donors to be a part of something bigger and schedule their donation today.
