DECATUR, IL- The Macon County Health Department (MCHD) is reminding residents that flu and COVID-19 vaccines are available through its walk-in vaccination clinic. Walk-ins are welcome Monday through Friday from 8:30–11:30 a.m. and 1:00–3:30 p.m. Appointments are also available by calling 217-423-6988 option 2.

The MCHD offers several vaccine options to help residents protect themselves, their families, and their communities during the respiratory illness season.

Flu Vaccine Options:

• Fluzone®: Standard flu vaccine for individuals 6 months and older.
• Flublok®: Recombinant, egg-free flu vaccine for adults 18 and older.
• Fluzone® High-Dose: Designed for adults 65 and older to provide stronger protection.

COVID-19 Vaccine Options:

• Pfizer: An mRNA COVID-19 vaccine.
• Moderna: An mRNA COVID-19 vaccine.
• Nuvaxovid™: A non-mRNA, protein-based COVID-19 vaccine option.

Vaccination is an important step in protecting yourself and those around you. The MCHD encourages residents to stay up-to-date with recommended vaccinations and take advantage of the convenient walk-in clinic.

Most insurance is accepted. Residents are encouraged to bring their insurance card and identification when receiving vaccination services.
